During January to June, China completed 21.13M DWT ships, up by 14.2% y-o-y. New orders for shipbuilding were 37.67M DWT, up by 67.7% y-o-y. By the end of June, total amount of order-in-hand for shipbuilding was 123.77M DWT, up by 20.5% y-o-y.

During January to June, China completed 17.88M DWT ships, up by 13.1% y-o-y. New orders for shipbuilding were 35.00M DWT, up by 71.2% y-o-y. China’s exported ships accounted for 84.6%, 92.9% and 92.8% of the national shipbuilding completed orders, new orders, and hand-held orders, respectively.
